The justice system hands you over to the Correctional System  and you become a number, an offender, an inmate. Freedom gone, stand up, sit down, move here, move there, eat this go to bed now.

A “lock down” we’ve found (or lost) a knife, stay in your 6 x 9 cell for 23 hours for ‘x’ number of days. Come out for a shower or a quick circuit in the exercise yard. We’ll bring in your food - too bad.
